From November until March, it's the best time to visit Mui Ne – when it is dry, sunny, and constantly windy, attracting kite surfers like crazy. The beach looks fabulous, and the sand dunes become dry enough to walk around. April and October fall into the shoulder seasons when a beach vacation is still possible. Being one of the driest places in Vietnam, even during low season, it's unlikely that you'll have several rainy days consecutively. July and August are considered the wettest months of the year and, along with June, the months when the waves will be higher than usual, but the winds will continue to attract wind sports lovers.

What to See in Mui Ne

• The Sand Dunes (White and Red) - Mui Ne’s most iconic scenery. The white sand dunes on the way to Bau Trang are the bigger of the two, with an open desert landscape where one could rent off-road vehicles like jeep or quads. On the other hand, the red dunes near town are easily reachable – children from the nearby villages rent plastic sleds and slide down the slopes during sunrise and sunset when the sun paints the sand in varying hues of orange.
